Jigging for kokanee has been a fun learning experience this year and there’s still a lot more to learn.
I have noticed (in more than one lake) that when I stop over a school of kokanee at 30ft, they appear to be diving deeper to 45ft and deeper. Has anyone that jigs noticed this before? If so, what are you doing to entice a bite?
The water in one of the lakes I fished this weekend was so clear that I could see my jig down to 25ft. Maybe a kokanee ripple on the water is needed to help improve the bite? Maybe a flashy attractor to distract them from the boat above?
