I finally got another pair of waterproof boots. What is your favorite pair of boots?

I decided to buy these Dryshod Footwear boots at Circle ‘S’ Western Wear in Quesnel. I was very impressed with Theresa’s knowledge of the boot and dedication to carrying a brand of boots that hold up to everyday farm life.

The short version of the Dryshod story is that the person who developed the popular Muck boot sold the company to Honeywell. He then eventually came out with these Dryshods which are extremely comfortable and 100% waterproof.

The boot has a comfort rating of minus 45 degrees Celsius to plus 18 degrees Celsius. This rating is based on moving around so I will follow up now and then on warmth while sitting still during ice fishing. I like the aggressive tread and will test it out on the ice by itself before I fit the boot with ice cleats. The boot is breathable and has a sewn seam for added durability. One feature that I might never use is the boot can be folded in half for added comfort or ease of getting into it and tucking in your pants. One feature that I love about this boot is the heel kick, which makes taking the boot off a breeze.
