It was a windy day on Ten Mile but the kokanee did not seem to care.
I started off with a Paulina Peak Tackle dodger and micro hoochie on one rod and a Gibbs Dogtail dodger and God’s Tooth lure on the other.
The Paulina Peak Tackle was getting most of the hits and so I switched out the second rod after about a 45min and 2 lost fish.
Both Paulina Peak micro hoochies were getting hit, but the chartreuse dodger and pink micro squid were definitely the favorite if the day.
Fish were caught between 10ft and 35ft.
Most fish were caught at 20ft.
My speed was the usual kokanee speed and varied between 1.2 and 1.4mph.
It was a great day to be on the water. I tried some areas in the wind thinking there would be fish, but only came up with small ones. The larger fish were caught in the rougher, deeper water.
It was great to meet people while launching and taking the boat out of the water.
