It was a great morning on Ten Mile Lake until the storm hit. I had 4 kokanee in the boat and lost 3 just before the storm. I’m soaked and wishing I was still fishing.
I started fishing at 930 and finished at 1200. The kokanee seemed to mainly be at 10ft off the downrigger. One kokanee was caught at 20ft.
My Okuma Aveon Kokanee rod and reel worked flawlessly. I also used my Ugly Stick combo which worked equally as well.
I was going an average 1.4mph and started with a Brad’s dodger and kokanee cut plug on one rod and Kokabow dodger and OG1 Old Goat lure on the other.
It didn’t take me long to switch both rods over to Kokabow dodgers and OG1s.
I was using my Canadian kokanee corn from the Gigantic Garage sale and it was working great.
It was a quick trip and well worth it. I almost lost a fish to a seagull as I left my fish on the dock for a photo opportunity.
