June 12, 2016. Tyee Lake. Great day to learn how to fish this lake. We took home 2 fish for the BBQ and lost 6 fish. It was a slow day for this lake.
We got to meet the owner, Vic, of Tyee Lake Lodge. He has a wealth of knowledge of this lake and we will be coming to stay with them this summer. They offer an exceptional nightly rate stay with breakfast included. For a small fee, they will make you dinner as well. Very excited to come back.
After trolling for 2hrs with no hits on apex lures, I gave in and we pulled out the kids’ wedding bands. They proved to be successful and useful here (I have never used one before).
We marked fish from 20-40ft. Most fish were in the 30ft range.
