Another great morning on Ten Mile Lake. Fish were caught at 30ft and 34ft off the downrigger.

Dodgers that produced fish were a Gibbs Dogtail dodger (chartreuse), a Kokabow dodger (orange/chartreuse), and a Mack’s sling blade (blue). Lures that caught fish were a chartreuse Apex, a pink trout Apex, a pink P-Line hoochie with moon jelly Mack’s smile blade and a sunrise P-Line hoochie with a red Mack’s smile blade.

Drifting with the wind was the most productive and because of the chop I chose to leave the boat at a steady up and down the waves troll.

I was marking fish at 34ft in 40 ft of water, and picked one up this way, but when I checked my non-productive rod I found lake muck on the lure. Make sure you are checking your lures if fishing close to the bottom on lakes like this. Your time could be wasted if you don’t frequently check when not getting hits.

A good day for a limit of kokanee.
