The quickest fishing trip ever!!!
Ten Mile Lake. We were on the water at 6pm and done by 630pm. The wind picked up and was too cold for Austin, so we called it a day.
We got one good drift in as the wind was starting to pick up. It was calm and warm when we arrived and the storm hit quickly.
We tried one wiggle corky set up with no success. Austin chose the Kokabow watermelon dodger with a Mack’s wiggle bill with pink bead and pink hooks, tipped with pink corn. We set our line back about 80ft and put both lines 8ft down on the downrigger (keep in mind, the tension from the rod probably brought the release clips and line up to 7ft and the Kokabow dodger probably brought us back down a couple feet……so I’m thinking we were somewhere near 9-10ft down.)
Austin’s choice in dodger and lure was a success! We got one rainbow and our second kokanee of the season. A high five was had and we shot a quick video for you guys to explain what we were using.
Alan Greenhalgh and Macks Lures thank you for making great products. Can’t wait to get back out there and hopefully next time we make it at least an hour.
